Here are just a few ways that Smart IPC™ can help streamline your maintenance operations:
- You can search the entire Illustrated Parts Catalog by keyword, part number, or view a parts illustration with hyperlinks and simply click on the specific part in the illustration that you’re looking for. The system will automatically pull up a selected part in a parts list for you. You can then easily select the parts you need and transfer them to a “Smart Cart” utility to query your parts inventory or other applications. This streamlined access to parts information can greatly improve your maintenance turn times.
- With Smart IPC™, part numbers are extracted directly from the Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) source data, and exported directly into parts procurement, inventory, or other back end applications. Since you are accessing parts numbers directly from the original source data in the IPC, there’s no need for your maintenance technicians to manually key in parts numbers, parts descriptions, or other related information – just point and click to select what you need.
- This greatly increases accuracy in parts-related searches and parts requests sent by your maintenance teams over to purchasing, engineering, and parts warehouses or depots. This can virtually eliminate time wasted on handling incorrect parts because someone typed in the wrong part number.
